  • How many people can connect to one party?

It depends on how guests are connected to the host device. partyq has two ways of connecting users: Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The number of Bluetooth connections is greatly limited by hardware ability, and usually, only 3-4 connections (including party guests and any other Bluetooth devices the host may be connected to) can be maintained at once before connections start getting kicked.

Wi-Fi, on the other hand, can support much larger quantities of guest connections; perhaps as large as 100+ guest connections (though you should expect degraded app performance for a large number of guests).

  • I have an idea that could improve the app?

Contact us with your feature request and we'll consider adding it to the app! We value all customer feedback and would appreciate hearing any ideas you have for us.

  • Is partyq available on iPhone?

Not until I learn iOS development.

  • How close do guests have to be to the host to connect to the party?

partyq is able to connect devices either over Bluetooth or over Wi-Fi (but only if the host and guest are connected to the same network by the same router). Bluetooth connections, when uninhibited, can be held at up to 100 meters. A Wi-Fi connection can be held as long as the connection to the host's network and router remains strong. For the best and most reliable results, host and guests should all be in the same room.
