FAQ | π₯ Multi account management
You can't open multiple instances of Station on the same computer: there can only be 1 window with the apps' dock on the left.
What is possible is to detach any page in a stand-alone window. This comes useful when:
- You have multiple screens
- You want to open multiple pages side by side.
To open a page as a separate window, just hover on an app's icon and click on the "Detach" button next to the page you want to detach.
To log-out from an account:
-
Hover over the concerned app's icon β The sub-dock appears
-
Click on the gear icon in the top right corner of the sub-dock β You'll access the settings of your app with the list of all current logged accounts
-
Click on the "x" icon at the right of any account to remove it. β You can always re-add accounts later.
Yes, it's normal because some applications allow multiple accounts to be connected at the same time. For those, a new icon is created in the dock for each of your connected accounts.
Some of the apps that handle multi-account: Slack, Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Inbox...
One of our main goals is to ease the management of multiple accounts. You can add as many accounts to Station as you want, as long as the app itself allows it.
- Apps that handle multi-account: Slack, Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Inbox.
- Apps that are solo-account: WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Twitter, Trello, Linkedin, Telegram, etc.
To add or remove an account for an existing app, 3 easy steps:
- Hover over the concerned app's icon β The sub-dock appears
- Click on the gear icon in the top right corner of the sub-dock β You'll access the settings of your app with the list of all current logged accounts
- Click on the "Add a new account" button. β If there is no such button and only a "Add new instance" one, it means Station does not allow multi-account for this app.
