My personal nixpkgs overlays
git clone
this repo.- Add the following line to
/etc/nixos/configuration.nix
:nixpkgs.overlays = import /PATH/TO/nixpkgs-overlays;
- Add the desired packages to
environment.systemPackages
; or in the case of fonts tofonts.fonts
.
The packages defined in the overlays are available in pkgs
as if they are normal packages.
NOTE: The list of overlays is imported directly, hence individual overlays cannot be selected. This is OK, because this overlay is not for public consumption. But rather it's designed to suit my needs.
# Edit this configuration file to define what should be installed on
# your system. Help is available in the configuration.nix(5) man page
# and in the NixOS manual (accessible by running ‘nixos-help’).
