Transparency Score Logic

Please note that these scores are subjective in nature.

Attributes to take into account for scoring

Score multiplier for calculating final points: 10

NOTE: This score multiplier is arbitrary - the idea is simply to have a round number which looks good from a user PoV.

Display name

  • Cost to validator or council member: 1
  • Value for nominator or voter: 1

Base Total Score: 2 or 4

Final points: 20

Final points: 40

Riot

  • Cost to validator or council member: 2
  • Value for nominator or voter: 3

Base Total Score: 5

Final points: 50

Finally

Net sum of all final points = 20 + 100 + 50 + 70 + 40 + 50 = 330

For completing all 6 attributes as opposed to 5 - i.e. not missing even a single field, the user shall be awarded an extra 70 points to make the score an even 400

  • These points will NOT be displayed publicly - only to the user who owns the profile
  • These points lead to different possible levels of transparency for which we shall have badges assigned to users

Off-chain info considerations

Info about team members and bio becomes somewhat game-able and is less reliable in comparison to on-chain identity. Hence, for the first iteration, they wouldn't be taken into account for determination of transparency score.

Levels

  1. 0 points → No badge
  2. 0 < 200 points → good transparency badge
  3. 200 < 330 points → excellent transparency badge
  4. 400 points → supreme transparency badge
