But xiaomi.humidifier.3lite seems to be this one:

Is the Xiaomi Smart Evaporative Humidifer even supported and if yes, which model name is correct?

I bought the same device (the circular one) and as far as I can tell xiaomi.humidifier.3lite is the correct identifier.
I think the bottom (rectangular) one is actually called smartmi.humidifier.3lite instead.

I was btw able to integrate mine using the Xiaomi Miot integration (https://github.com/al-one/hass-xiaomi-miot), if that helps.

I'll leave this ticket open anyway, as adding it to this integration might still be desired.
