Would it be possible for you to provide a same knowledge graph file to experiment with? Thank you!

It's possible -- in fact, two such knowledge graphs (which refer to each other a lot) are already available!

How to access or open them from within the installed emacs docker container?

It looks like reading the VCS format was undocumented. I just documented it. I hope I'm right -- SmSn has been broken on my system for a long time, and I haven't tested what I've written.

Since you're using the Docker container you'll need those files to be accessible to it. I think that's described here.

I'll see if I can get it to work tonight. Do you know of any other software like it, either in emacs or elsewhere? Also, have you seen org-roam?

I've seen org-roam. It looks cool. There's also Roam, which is paid. I've seen other things too but I'm afraid the info is locked up in my SmSn map (smh).

I'm working on something called Hode that's also a hypergraph editor. It works already. I'll release it as soon as I'm done writing (and verifying the promises in) the in-app help.
