How do we disable this???

There is an entry in the config file /etc/raspimjpeg autostart which controls the start up behaviour.

Its value can be standard or idle. If idle then the camera system does not start up on boot.

You can edit the file directly (sudo /etc/raspimjpeg)

The value is also selectable when you do an install, so you can just rerun the install script.
