@jbruchon hello, that's a great tutorial, but since it's not an "issue" with G-Helper I'm converting this to Discussion. Thanks. |

I didn't even know that discussions existed. Thanks. |

I have an Asus Vivobook M1605XA (Ryzen 9 7940HS model) that had power/shutdown issues under heavy loads (HandBrake, games after a while) right out of the box. I especially had issues with Modern Standby/Connected Standby causing HandBrake encodes to stop overnight because the PC would enter some stupid hybrid sleep and it is impossible to shut it off. There are a few things that I did to fix it and you may want to add them to the troubleshooting wiki. These are specific to my model
Universal AMD Form Browser
Use G-Helper to prevent thermal/power delivery shutdowns
Replace the thermal paste
My unit was bought used and I found the CPU and VRM cooling paste/pads to be "baked" from prolonged high-temperature operation. If the machine is used or has been used a lot prior to the software fixes above, replacing all of the thermal paste is strongly advised. I published a video detailing the process.
