Hello,
I usually search on google for documentation.
I was surprised when looking at readthedocs to find out it points to an old version of python 3.7.
Was that on purpose? Do you have ownership of the subdomain/project ?
python.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ exists and is outdated;
readthedocs.io redirects to the official readthedocs.com
python.readthedocs.com ends up in error.
I asked chatgpt, it suggested me to open an issue here; quote:
"Contact the Maintainers: The Read the Docs project lists two maintainers, but their identities are not specified. You might consider reaching out through the project's associated GitHub repository: https://github.com/python/cpython. Engaging with the community there could help bring attention to the outdated documentation."
First time opening an issue.
Kind regards

cc @ericholscher@stsewd -- please could we remove the built site at python.readthedocs.io for now? It is showing 3.6 and 3.7 which is several years out of date. The project page on RtD just lists Eric, so sorry to ping directly.
There is a long term goal to use RtD but even when this is accomplished we won't want to publicise internal domains like python.readthedocs.io.
Documentation outdated on readthedocs.io
