• It seems that since we last reimported FoodRepo, the number of products has exploded.
• They now have 300K+ products: https://www.foodrepo.org/fr/products
• https://www.foodrepo.org/fr/developers
• We don't have a user for the FoodRepo import, it seems

• Germany: 11,000+ products
• Italy: 2700 products
• Switzerland: 37,000 products
• USA: 320,000 products

How to

Foodrepo does not provide CSV file, only API access.

We have this script but based on a CSV file:

• https://github.com/openfoodfacts/openfoodfacts-server/blob/main/scripts/obsolete/convert_foodrepo_data.pl
• https://github.com/openfoodfacts/openfoodfacts-server/blob/main/scripts/obsolete/import_foodrepo.sh

• We firstly need to download the data as JSON with the API. (Bash + Curl?)
• Then convert it to CSV? (in2csv or jq?)
• Then download the photos?
• Then see if convert_foodrepo_data.pl is still working?

Most of it is just the USDA database imported in foodrepo 2 years ago.

About 1500 products were added in the last year.
