Why? It's a perfectly normal English word. |
A noose is not just a knot in a rope but one specifically used to hang
people.

So...? How does that make it an invalid word? |
It's not invalid. People are playing a fun game, not trying to be
traumatized by words that have historically only been used to describe
murdering black people.

If the mere appearance of a 5-letter word in a letter puzzle traumatizes somebody, they should probably not be in the Internet. And then, what's next?
And then all words that might remind people of the existence of violence and death in the past, present and future?
And then all words that might spoil purity?
And then all words that can remind you of drugs?
And then all words that might drag sensitive people down?
And then all words that might offend some people?
I don't know - it seems to be a rabbit hole without bottom. |
Although it might be a compromise to remove it from the list of answers only. Then it is still in the game, but unless you type it yourself it won't be imposed on you to think of it. |
@LWChris I believe that is what they meant. When I get requests for words being removed I always remove only from the answer list. I've never had a complaint for a word being an acceptable guessing word because, well, just don't guess it lol |
Yes makes sense!
