Repos like https://boringssl.googlesource.com/boringssl don't work out of the box.

$  grab https://boringssl.googlesource.com/boringssl
unable to figure out the repo root from the given url: unrecognized import path "boringssl.googlesource.com/boringssl"

These are typically mirrored to GitHub, however, so using the GitHub urls instead is a reasonable workaround
