Easier navigation between years?

Maybe it's not the intent of this component, but since it is selecting a full date with year, it would be greate to make year selection year. What I mean is, if you want to select year 1990 for example, it means a lot of clicking (you need to go through each month back to this year).
Maybe it's possible to do it with some custom components, but I didn't find a good way.
I guess usual pattern is when you click on year, calendar view is changed to show list of years from which you can easily select the one you need, instead of going back month by month.
