Muting monitored source does not mute and volume settings dont save on a reboot

I apologized in advance for the double post. I am not sure if my response got lost in the other thread. Or if it even fits there as this is a new issue. You've been super helpful so far thank you so much!

In OBS when using the default monitor settings that the app comes with (in OBS settings) when I mute a monitored source that makes it go dead on whatever is listening. With OBS-audio-monitor filter it does not mute when I click mute. Also when I reboot the volume slider stops working even though the lock volume to slider is selected.
