This is not really an issue but rather a feedback that might help the project in the future.
I've tried fancy-git for a while now and I love how it looks and feels. However I found a few downsides that are not negligible:
There is a trouble with the display of the icons. Even with the recommended fonts, I get squares and Chinese symbols that I had to configure in the config files.
Color wise, I've done some configuration on my terminal. I find it a pity that the colors that have been set for my terminal are not being used for the backgrounds of the app.
I'm using Python a lot. This means that I use virtual environments (specifically the Anaconda framework). Normally my active environment is displayed before my machine name which allows me to know if I can or cannot execute my program.
Obviously the last reason is the biggest reason that I'm not using Fancy-Git anymore.
I know I could configure it if necessary. But I have only so much time to allocate for "nice-to-have" research.
Extra info:
OS: Ubuntu 22.04
Terminal: GNOME Terminal 3.44.0
Hope the feedback helps
