Thanks for creating such a great plugin for xbmc! It just feels like the cinema now!
I'm trying to deal with a strange problem which allways occurs when using the plugin. After some time one bulb suddenly jumps to 100% and white. When I pause the movie then and resume it goed back to his dimmed stage and color.
The setup:
Windows 7 with XBMC 12
Starter kit with three lights
1 added living colors
It happens randomly but allways a few times in an hour
for 90% of the time it's the same bulb but sometimes one of the others
It's never the living color lamp
It never happens when using the lamps with other apps like ipad or android app.
What could this be? I'm really into solving this because it's such a nice effect ;-)
With kind regards,
Jimmy

It could be a hardware defect. Some batches of the first generation of Hue bulbs had a defective power regulator, when the bulb was set to a low loght level, the bulbs could reset themselves and reset to 100% white.
What happens if you dim the specific bulb to the minimal level with the app and wait for a long time?
Well, that's exactly what I thought in first place. After some info digging at the philips hue developers forum I found out that it could be defective bulbs. Back then, the bulbs sometimes shifted without the use of the xbmc plugin, just using the normal app. Philips confirmed the defective series and we returned all the bulbs and got them replaced with new ones. They perform great in normal usage but the xbmc pluging problem is still there....
