I would like for the plugin to turn on/off my bulbs when the plugin starts/stops. Ideally you could set this to either all or just a group of lights. It could also be linked in with the custom dim/undim brightness/colors settings or if these are unset just use the hue's default settings.

This makes sense especially if you have a dedicated set of bulbs just for your HTPC.

Hi jazz1138,

i don't fully understand the question. could you explain it a bit more?

you would like your bulbs to be turned on when XBMC starts?
or when playback starts?

I would like it to turn on all bulbs or a group of bulbs when the plugin/xbmc starts.

At the moment you have to turn on your lights before playback otherwise the amblight function won't work. Having to turn on my Home Theatre lights is a bit of a hassle as the android remote need's to connect to wifi and usually crashes a few times before you can eventually turn the lights on.

Alternately an option to force amblight even if your selected lights are switched off would be good.

Dear Cees,

Do you think it would be possible to add to this addon the possibility to switch lights on and off
When giving a Pulse on the gpio ports of the rasberry? This way you wont need a second pi.
And my pi is always on.

Best regards
