When reviewing temps in zcfan and psensor, it appears that zcfan temp shown is nvme sensor 1. The cpu sensor ID is lmsensor coretemp-isa-0000 Core 0, and the nvme ID sensor is PCI adapter-nvme-pci-0400: sensor-1.

Observing both the zcfan temps compared to psensor temps and Sensors Monitor (Sensors@claudiux) applet, the temperatures that agree with zcfan temps is the nvme pci 400: sensor - 1.

I reviewed the readme in the usr/share/doc/zcfan as well as changelog.debian, etc. It is my understanding that the temps shown in terminal after entering sudo zcfan, are generated from hwmon. Unfortunately due to the number of hwmon number titled folders, I was unable to narrow down to the exact folder that zcfan utilizes. I do have a couple of suggestions to perhaps assist those of us that experience this issue with the differences in sensor readings in lmsensors and hwmon settings, with a script showing the address of the hwmon that is utilized to assist in any changes that are necessary concerning which sensors the hwmon should be pointing in the readme, and another addition to readme would be the steps necessary to redirect to the hwmon that corresponds to the lmsensors if needed.

Perhaps I should not be going down the rabbit hole on this, but it is somewhat disconcerting that the cpu temps shown in terminal do not correspond to the lmsensors temp readings. Also, thank you and all involved for providing zcfan for Lenovo Thinkpads. It is very cool - pun intended.

Hi! I'm not entirely clear what the problem is here (other than the bugged sensor). zcfan uses the highest temperature recorded by any sensor, so a single sensor reporting 0 shouldn't cause a problem. Is there a problem?

HI, all is good, I now have a clear understanding that the CPU temps are not the specific trigger for CZFAN, but rather, based upon the sensor with the highest temp. ZCFAN is an awesome fan controller. Please feel free to close this issue.

I wish there was a Linux fan controller for intel MacBook Pros that was as easy and efficient as the solution provided by CZFAN.

Thank again!
