A few questions about the project... #5
-
Good afternoon! Although I haven't used your project yet, I have a few questions to ask you. I'm Italian too like you but I will try to structure the text in English anyway. I'll start by saying that for some time now I've been looking for something that would allow me to automatically have offers sent to me regarding specific products of interest to me. I therefore came across this project of yours which seems very interesting to me, having also had the opportunity to have a field test of what it can do (thanks to your Telegram channel). However, as I said before, I have doubts about the project in general:
I apologize for the many questions but I wanted to be sure before using it. Hoping not to cause you too much trouble, I wish you a good day! |

Good evening Alberto, thank you for clarifying my ideas. Over the next few weeks I will try to experiment with some code for the Proxie, hoping that the resulting code will be efficient. However, I would like to ask you one last question, although not relevant to the project, in reference to the last point: when signing up for the plan with Oracle, you were asked to insert a credit card. Now, since I don't have it, but simply have a prepaid card, could you tell me if it is also accepted? Furthermore, still regarding Vps, I was wondering if your execution is based on Cron Job or something else. Finally, I wanted to ask you if your VPS has a graphical interface, and if it can be inserted. Thanks again and have a good evening! |

Good evening.
Honestly I do not know. Just try or google it.
It is based on a cron job (
It doesn't have a GUI, but you can install a window manager & co. and use it through remote desktop |

Finally based on my experience, the bot is running on a VPS from about a year ago and it always worked.
In any case we are doing only a few number of requests: some for collecting a set of discounted products (every 2 hours) and one request for each item sent.
