I've tried apt-get install linux-headers-3.16-2-686-pae linux-image-3.16-2-686-pae linux-headers-3.16-2-486 linux-image-3.16-2-486 -t jessie a couple of times now and the new kernel from Jessie fails to boot.
I think it's related to #198. The best strategy moving forward now is get a Jessie beta going with everything working, before trying to dkms a couple of Virtualbox guest modules.
I think dkms is now working with the Jessie kernel (linux-headers-3.16-3-686-pae at time of writing), it's just that I haven't figured out how to build outside the virtualbox yet, which IIUC is running out disk space.
