Crash when using hotkey #43
Comments
Oh yikes, thanks so much for this level of detail. What distro of Linux are you on? |
Ubuntu Gnome 15.10. Will upgrade asap to 16.04. |
Thanks for that info, is there anything you recall to reproduce this, I wasn't able to reproduce it, my hunch of what caused it was not right. |
These crashes occur randomly, without any clues. Just use the shortcut, then switch to another tab or window, open a page and press again, repeat, until Firefox crashes. |
* Addresses issue #43 - i think it is fixed now. i have to do overall testing to verify
Still happens with the new version of NativeShot under Firefox 48:

No way!! |
@sojusnik may you please try this addon - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/topick/ It uses the same global hotkey technique. If that never crashes, it must be something in my screenshot proc. |
@sojusnik did pressing the hotkey with the Topick addon? Did it crash? Can you please try to get it to crash and when you get "Send bug reprot to mozilla" Can you please send it, then open up browser and go to |
Hi @sojusnik I was trying to land an emergency release of v1.10 and wanted to include this fix. Would you be able to please chat with me? I am on the mozilla irc channels, here is a HTML5 client that links straight in - https://client00.chat.mibbit.com/?url=irc%3A%2F%2Firc.mozilla.org%2F%23jsctypes My user name is noit. I would really love to spend some one on one time with you to fix this please. |
Every now and then Firefox (47) is crashing when using the print-screen hotkey.
