Describe the feature. What should a user be able to do?
The user has a tab called "My Edits".
my-edits

  • When opened, it refers to a list of "Moderations"
    moderations

  • User can view a single "Moderation"

  • When the user opens an individual moderation, there is a larget red button titled: "Delete Development"
    delete-development

... which is confusing to the User and inaccurate.

  • They are not deleting a development

  • If anything, hey would be deleting a "pending moderation" or a "pending edit" not yet approved or denied by admins.

  • If the Edit was approved, and the user decides to delete one of the existing Edits, the user is immediately logged out of Massbuilds with no messaging.

  • If an Edit was approved, there should be no "Delete Development" button shown to the user.

  • If an Edit is pending approval, the 'Delete Development' button does work, in that it deletes the Edit.

  • Should be called an Edit, not a Development.

  • Or settle on using one term or the other: "Edit" vs "Moderation".

Why do we need this feature?
Because the form is misleading, creates a poor user experience and is not correct in terms of what it is doing functionally.

Alternatives
Alternatives would include a basic UX functionality that is found in most web sites made by 9year old children. Perhaps a short user survey would help make the point.

Additional context
Given the fact that a user cannot change their own password and an Admin has to change it directly in the database if needed, and that an Edit is a Moderation which can be deleted by clicking the "Delete Development" button, leaving this feature out is actually quite consistent with the how the site works.
