Design Update@autumnfjeld since you will soon be preparing a PT for the Newsletter Goal + Launchpad, here are some specs that hopefully help gathering all the info:
As agreed on last CtD call, we will show a very focused full-page Launchpad taking over My Home. This means that users won't see any of the current Home modules unless they complete the Launchpad or skip the setup. I will soon be posting a Design P2 on the specifics, but you can already consider this for the Newsletter flow. Next steps

@nuriapenya I've added a comment in the Spreadsheet, it's just a tiny detail. Otherwise, all good :) |
@nuriapenya When you have solidified the tasks for the first iteration of Newsletter tasks, can you confirm here in this issue? Then I'll update the Project Thread pet6gk-1Po-p2 and publish it. Or confirm the spreadsheet is accurate and that can be the source of truth. That seems like a clean approach (if you want to keep using the spreadsheet). I find it very useful if we maintain it as a source of truth. |
@autumnfjeld let's stick to the spreadsheet as a source of truth 💎 I've been curating the Newsletter list (with the help of @simison and @crisbusquets ) and I think we have a solid starting point. -- The logic is mapped on this tab. One thing that is missing is defining the subtitle for each task. I will spend some time tomorrow revising those, since it's a new element we are adding as part of this design. |
@nuriapenya Quake can work on these two projects in parallel:
This would mean that the result of Newsletter LP tasks pet6gk-1Po-p2 could be showing up in the existing full-screen LP. Then when the new My Home LP UI is shipped the Newsletter tasks are already in place and will appear in the new LP UI. Does that make sense? cc: @Automattic/quake |
This work would be to limited to Newsletter Goal + existing Newsletter launchpads. We would be wiring up pieces that already exist. No design needed.
