That's not the real 16n code. That's an HTML page. What did you click to download that, or to clone the repository?
If you want to compile from scratch, you should either clone the whole repository via git, or you can download a release from the releases page - where you can see both "Source code" compressed folders (which represent the entire state of the repo at that release, a bit like cloning the specific tag) or precompiled binaries and CAD files.
The thing you've shown above is never ever going to compile, because it's not arduino code; it looks like the sourcecode to a github page, which you may have downloaded in error.
